8 Inspiring Self-Help Books that will change your life!
It was January and we all know what happens in January. We tell ourselves we are going to make a change in some area of our lives that we struggled to do for the 12 months prior. We call these resolutions. I am not a fan of new year resolutions, mainly because I believe that if you want to make a change in your life do it now and don’t wait for Jan 1. But here I was sitting on my couch staring at a book my husband had bought for me over a year prior called You are a Badass, how to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life -by Jen Sincero.
I need to back up and tell you that my husband is a reader, a true book worm. He literality reads 24/7. And I don’t read anything unless it’s a dinner menu. I don’t know how he stumbled unto this book because he doesn’t read self-help but he bought one for my best friend who was going thru a difficult divorce and decided to buy a second one for me (whom he knows doesn’t read, LOL.) Let me pause here to say he is a true sweetheart and I’m a lucky girl. 😊
So, what I did next changed my life. I said to myself, “Jennifer read this book and finish it by Jan 31st and make a goal to read a different self-help book every month for the next twelve months.” There it was, my decision to act, my resolution.
I want to share with you all of the books I have read. I have discovered why I think the way I do, how to stop the negative comments in my head, identify and stop toxic relationships. I have learned why some have success and others don’t. I have learned what it means to be vulnerable and have courage. I have learned why I made mistakes. I have learned about my relationship with money. Each book in my list will relate to you in both personal and professional areas. I know they will inspire you just as they inspired me.
What’s your favorite self-help book? I’d love to hear from you!
